Justin + Alexis Wedding


Justin and Alexis’s backyard wedding in San Juan Capistrano, California was one of those Orange County days that felt effortlessly personal, creative, and full of energy. From the start, it was clear this wasn’t going to be a cookie-cutter wedding — Justin and Alexis are both creatives (Justin a well-established surf videographer and Alexis an art director), and every part of the day carried that same sense of style, intention, and laid-back fun.


The celebration felt intimate in the best way: close friends, family, and a setting that truly felt like them. We snuck away for romantic portraits just a short walk from the house, keeping things easy and relaxed while still capturing that warm San Juan Capistrano glow. Then it was right back to the property for a reception that felt like the ultimate backyard party — heartfelt moments, big laughs, and a dance floor that stayed alive all night.


Their home was the perfect backdrop, with a beautiful pool and an intimate layout that let everyone move through the space naturally — mingling, dancing, and celebrating under the lights with the kind of closeness you only get when it’s in your own backyard. Justin and Alexis’s wedding was a reminder that some of the most memorable days don’t need a grand venue — just great people, great taste, and a whole lot of love in Orange County.
