About Studio 7 Photography
Mike Stonis and Miah Klein started Studio 7 Photography over 15 years ago out of a genuine love for documenting meaningful stories — the kind that feel honest, emotional, and true to the people living them. Hundreds of weddings (and even more happy tears) later, Studio 7 has become one of Southern California’s premier wedding photography studios, traveling near and far to capture celebrations with heart, style, and intention.
At our core, we’re fine art wedding photojournalists. That means we’re often the quiet presence in the room — a fly on the wall — letting real moments unfold naturally so you can fully be yourselves on your wedding day. We’re watching for the in-between glances, the deep breaths, the uncontrollable laughs, and the small touches that tell the real story. The result is photography that feels lived-in and emotional, not staged or forced.
And when the moment calls for it, we can switch gears. If you need guidance with posing that still feels like you, help keeping the timeline moving, or a steady hand organizing a long family shot list, we step in with calm confidence and clear direction — then fade back out so the day can keep flowing.
Our work is rooted in a timeless, romantic look. We edit with a film-inspired approach that stays true to natural color and beautiful light — never heavy-handed, never trendy, and never reliant on gimmicky tones that feel dated a few years later. Just clean, classic, artful images that hold up the way your memories do: warm, honest, and full of feeling. We’re excited to document your wedding day.

The moments that end up meaning the most aren’t always the ones on the timeline — they’re the glances, laughs, and little breaths in between. With over 15 years of working as a commercial photographer and art director (personal work here), I’ve learned how to read a room, anticipate what’s coming, and capture it without turning your day into a production. My approach is documentary-first with creative and timely direction when needed. I’m excited to document your wedding day!

Defining wedding moments, like the wave of the day, can be easily missed if you aren't paying attention. Working for Surfing Magazine in the mid 2000's taught me how to tell editorial stories. That experience really helps me approach weddings differently than your traditional event photographer. I'm always hunting for the defining moment all while keeping things light and fun. Nice to meet you, I'm your wedding photographer!
